Cake pops

Cake pop’s !

These were made very quickly by my 12 and 15 yr old daughters , first attempt !


First of all we made 2 cake’s I was a packet mix for Carrot cake My Favourite!
the other was just a plain Victoria sponge .

Once the cake’s had baked and cooled we put them in the food processor and then added Butter cream .
We used Betty crocker buttercup vanilla, we only used 1/2 the tub for both cakes.
Then we rolled them up in to ball’s and put in the freezer to set.

Unfortunately the carrot cake seemed to be to moist when we put the skewer’s through the cake it gradually push right through.
so we dipped them and ate them .!

We then melted White Chocolate and added a small amount at a time of orange chocolate to give it  a chick like colour.
Dipped the cake pop’s in the chocolate, put in the fridge for a couple of minutes to cool then decorated.

Kid’s being kid’s got bored very quickly with the 1 design so they decided to give them faces and hair !
They had great fun !

Back in the fridge to set then covered with cello bag’s and good old curling ribbon !!

All there friend’s enjoyed them and can’t wait for the next experiment  !!
